Porter
adds
Lacy
and
Parkinson
to
his
Summer
Captures......
Scott
Porter
has unveiled his second and third summer
signings.
Thirty-year
old full-back Aaron Lacy has put pen to
paper after agreeing terms. Lacy, started
thirty-seven games for
Margate FC in the Ryman Premier last season, Lacy signed
for Margate in February 2010 after over
six years with Maidstone United. The versatile
player started his
career with Gillingham and has also featured
for Lordswood and Chatham
Town.
Porter said: “He’s a full-back, midfielder,
has got
great
attributes to his game, a long throw as
well. He’s proven in the Ryman League and he’s
a top bloke. He’s been
at the Ryman Premier with Margate and he’s
gone through all the leagues
with Maidstone, so he’s very experienced and
he’s a good lad."
“He’s a winner, a battler and he’s a talker
and he’s looking forward to
jumping on the bandwagon basically, and
obviously going up the Ryman
really, with us. I’ve been in talks with him
for a couple of weeks and
I’m delighted to have him onboard.”
Tom Parkinson becomes
Scott's third new signing of the summer, after
the centre-back agreed
to join from Burgess Hill Town, where he had a
loan spell from
Maidstone United made permanent. He
said:
"We
tried to get Tom last year but he stayed where
he was. We’ve
always had him on the list for this season. He’s
got good experience at
a higher level for a young lad, and he fits into
the mould with the
rest of the squad. We’ve strengthened in every
area so far and we’re
very happy to have a settled squad."
Welcome
to
the
club
Aaron
and Tom!
