What brought you to Hythe?: The other lads from Bromley Green – Pat, Dave Cook.

How are you finding things here?: Good, it is a good laugh.

Favourite team other than Hythe: Manchester United.

Favourite ground other than Reachfields: I quite liked VCD.

Least favourite ground: Holmesdale.

Favourite sport other than football: Fishing.

Favourite film: The Shawshank Redemption.

Who is the most famous person you have met: Billy Zane and Kelly Brook (they live near by, in Lenham).

Most embarrassing moment in football: Heading an own-goal in a cup semi-final.

Tell us something we didn’t know about you: I have a pet bulldog called Bailey.

Gary Mickelborough

Nickname: Just Gaz.

Date of birth: 19th December 1985.

Birthplace: Ashford.

Occupation: Planning officer.

Marital status: Single.

Previous clubs: Whitstable (under 18s) then three years in athletics (400 metres), then Bromley Green and most of last season in Folkestone Invicta reserves.

What brought you to Hythe?: I was watching Hythe against Tunbridge Wells and got talking to Fisky. I also knew Dave Cook and Pat [from Bromley Green] and they urged me to join.

How are you finding things here?: Very good. It is good fun.

Favourite team other than Hythe: Arsenal.

Favourite ground other than Reachfields: I quite like Whitstable.

Least favourite ground: Greenwich Borough was pretty poor.

Favourite sport other than football: Athletics.

Favourite film: Catch me if you can.

Favourite holiday destination: Thailand.

Favourite food: Anything Italian.

Nickname: Joe 90.

Date of birth: 4th June 1990.

Birthplace: Slough.

Occupation: Working for a printers in London.

Marital status: Single.

Previous clubs: Ashford Town.

What brought you to Hythe?: There were changes at Ashford, the usual comings and goings, and I knew Paul Fisk.

How are you finding things here?: It is quality. The boys are a really good bunch and have made me feel right at home.

Favourite team other than Hythe: Tottenham.

Favourite ground other than Reachfields: The new Wembley stadium.

Least favourite ground: Greenwich Borough.

Favourite sport other than football: Golf.

Favourite film: The Business.

Favourite holiday destination: Canada, skiing.

Favourite food: Pasta.

Favourite drink: Jacques.

Favourite music: R&B and Hip-Hop.

Toughest opponent in training: None of them are very good.

Favourite Hythe player: Tom Ads, aka Dad – I was with him at Ashford.

Nickname: Gregs.

Date of birth: 23rd March 1982.

Birthplace: Margate.

Occupation: Sports-Link manager.

What does that involve?: Working with young people in Thanet on a diverse range of sports such as football, surfing, ten-pin bowling. I’ve been doing it for three years.

Marital status: Co-habiting.

Previous clubs: Ramsgate, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Southall Town, Ramsgate again, Sittingbourne.

What brought you to Hythe: Buster got in touch initially, then Fisky, selling the ambition of the club to me.

You’ve already played in several positions for us. Where have you normally played?: I was actually a striker for Kent and South-East England schoolboys but have moved backwards as I have got older.

Favourite team other than Hythe: Tottenham.

Favourite ground other than Reachfields: Chelmsford.

Least favourite ground: Mile End Stadium [home of next week’s opponents, Sporting Bengal – ed]. I played there for Ramsgate when I was about 19.

Favourite sport other than football: Golf.

Favourite film: Braveheart and Wedding Crashers.

Favourite holiday destination: Ibiza.

Favourite food and drink: Nando’s (spicy chicken dish).

Favourite music: UK garage and a bit of Marvin Gaye.

Describe yourself in up to five words: Laid-back, jovial, relaxed.

Who is the most famous person you have met: David Beckham. I was temping in a hotel in West London when at University and the England team came back there after the 2002 World Cup.

Most embarrassing moment in football: Missing two penalties in an Under-18s cup final – we still won though.

Tell us something we didn’t know about you: I scored for South-East England boys (Under-19s) against Australia.
