 One of our new recruits, Dave made a quick impact with two fine goals before being side-lined recently with an injury. We put him in the spotlight after last Saturday’s match.

Favourite team other than Hythe: Crystal Palace, I used to go with my Dad before playing football on Saturdays [That’s my player of the season vote settled – Ed].

Most embarrassing moment in football: Only being sent off a couple of times and a couple of own-goals.

Tell us something we didn’t know about you: When I was about 13 I represented England at Bolton’s Reebok stadium in a 5-a-side tournament.

What’s the situation with the injury: It’s a build-up of soft tissue, on the weight-bearing part of the ankle, on the joint, where I’d injured it before. It should only keep me out for a couple more weeks.
