 Joining us along with Pat Kingwell and Dave Cook, we had a chat with Marcus after Saturday’s match and, among other things, found out about his nickname.

So why Huggy?: My Dad was a Starsky & Hutch fan so my full name is Marcus Ron Huggy Hodges.

Occupation: Hod-carrier.

Marital status: Married with one child and one step-child.

Previous clubs: Bliby, Ashford Town Reserves and Bromley Green.

What brought you to Hythe: Fisky and Rossy.

Favourite team other than Hythe: Arsenal.

Favourite footballer: Ian Wright.

Favourite ground other than Reachfields: Whitstable is nice.

Least favourite ground: Rusthall – it’s like Teletubby land, lots of bumps.

Favourite sport other than football: Cricket.

Favourite film: The Business.

Favourite holiday destination: Magaluf – I went there for my honeymoon.

Favourite food and drink: Steak, jacket potato and salad; Stella.

Favourite music: Old school garage, R&B.

Describe yourself in up to five words: Loves football, likes to sulk.

Who is the most famous person you have met: Muttiah Muralitharan – I saw him in a nightclub in Canterbury when he was playing for Kent, we had a long chat.

Most embarrassing moment in football: Missing a penalty for Ashford Reserves in a semi-final, I more or less rolled it to the keeper.
