Another Quality Addition!

New Signing - Dan Stubbs
New Signing - Dan Stubbs

Hythe Town FC are delighted to announce their second quality addition of the summer, in the shape of the returning Dan Stubbs. The twenty-five year old midfielder previously played for the club in a spell spanning the final fifteen games of the season before last.

Those who remember those games may or may not need reminding of the quality that Dan can offer, he set-up seven goals and scored two of his own during the relatively short time he spent as a Cannon.

Talking to the website late last night, 1st Team Manager, Tim Dixon, was delighted to have secured the second of his summer targets, he said - "Not only is Stubbsy a very good footballer, but he's a great lad to have in the dressing room. He can’t wait to get going this season and he will be a fantastic addition to the squad!"

Dan started off his career as a member of Ebbsfleet United’s successful Youth League scheme, before a spell on loan at our fellow Ryman South side, Whitstable Town in 2007. He then signed for Margate, and has had a couple of spells at Maidstone United, including being part of the Ryman South play-off winners' squad. Dan has also played for KA Akureyri in Iceland's 2nd tier, and has also had a spell at Dover.

Supporters are reminded about tonight's 'Supporters' Meeting & Meet the Manager' evening in the clubhouse, 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
