Bradley Jordan The Next New Cannon
The news just keeps getting better for supporters of Hythe Town FC, as the club are delighted to announce that former Charlton Athletic Under 21s captain, Bradley Jordan, has joined the Cannons on loan from Ryman Premier side, Maidstone United.
The midfielder, who has also had loan spells at Notts County and Forest Green, signed for Maidstone as a free agent after being released by the Addicks.
At the time of his signing, Stones Manager, Jay Saunders said - “I spoke to Damien Matthew at Charlton and he had nothing but good things to say. I didn’t know this but he went on trial at Gillingham and they were close to taking him."
“It was only the fact they had Jake Hessenthaler and Bradley Dack at a similar age that stopped them. He was also at Exeter over pre-season and they liked him but were looking at a month-by-month deal, which wasn’t ideal."
Talking to the website, 1st Team Manager, Tim Dixon said - "Jay Saunders has agreed to let Bradley Jordan join the Cannons on loan from Maidstone to get some valuable game time. Bradley is an exceptional player and it gives us really good options and competition for places in midfield."
"Hopefully, we can help Brad capture the form that made him a very popular figure at Charlton Athletic. He has been brought up in a professional environment and I have no doubt that his approach to the game and his attitude will be first class."
Tim concluded - "He still has a big future in the game and we will help him as much as possible, welcome to the Cannons Bradley!"
