Hythe Town FC Assistant Manager, Darren Beale and Cannons skipper, Craig Cloke have bravely taken part in the Motor Neurone Disease Association's now worldwide viral campaign 'The Ice Bucket Challenge'!
The moments themselves can be seen on video below, what's more, get down to Reachfields for tomorrow's game as Chairman John Dowsett and 1st Team Manager, Tim Dixon, are the next of the Cannons to take part!
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure but the MND Association funds and promotes research
that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings us closer to a cure for MND. They also provide services to support people living with, or affected by, MND. The MND Association is the
only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is a viral campaign where participants are challenged to throw a bucket of ice water over their heads before passing the challenge on to 3 other people who must accept the challenge within 24 hours. You can avoid this by donating to the charity instead. Or better yet, do both!
Grab a bucket of ice-cold water and pour it over your head in exchange for a text donation to the MND Association. Film it and then share it via your social media using #icebucketchallenge and #MND.
Take the Ice Bucket Challenge and make your donation by texting ICED55 £5 (or other amount) to 70070 or visit the MNDA's Just Giving page.
