Dave Cook Has Returned To Reachfields

Hythe Town FC are delighted to confirm the return to the club of former skipper, Dave Cook. It is safe to say that ‘Cookie’ is probably the player that needs the least introduction to our supporters.

However, for the record, in his seven seasons at the club he appeared 253 times with 124 goals, along with captaining the club to the Kent League Championship, the 1st Round of the FA Cup, the Ryman South Play-offs and our first ever Kent Senior Cup win.

Dave goes straight into the squad that heads to the Belmont on Saturday, looking to be the first side to inflict a home league defeat this season on Whitstable Town.

Talking to the website today, 1st Team Manager, Tim Dixon, said: "We are all pleased to have Dave back at the club as there was interest from a few other clubs for his signature. It is very much down to Cookie now, as he needs to work hard and hope to recapture the form he showed in his last spell."

He continued: "He has been a fantastic servant for Hythe Town and he loves the club to bits, and he has experienced many of the goods times at Hythe. He has a great deal to offer with a wealth of experience and we are all looking forward to seeing him turn out for the Cannons again."

Welcome back to the club Cookie!
