I Can't Wait Until Monday!
Talking to the website this evening, our new signing, Stuart Zanone declared “I can’t wait to play against Folkestone on Monday!”
Stuart explained how leaving Homelands was a difficult decision but one he ultimately had to make – “Leaving Ashford was a tough one, I never wanted too but I wasn't enjoying it this season, too many things were wrong and we were playing some terrible football.”
He revealed that Tim Dixon and Joe Mant were both key to the striker’s move to Reachfields – “I had other offers as a few people know, but Manty was on my case and we're good friends, once I spoke to Tim my mind was made up.”
“There are some quality players in the side and it's a very young side so I just thought why not? I've won the Ryman North (with Thamesmead) so I’d like to see what the South is like.”
When asked if he had a message for the Cannons supporters, he said – “If the Hythe fans are half as good as the Ashford fans then I'll be a happy man. I'll do my best in the red and white and hopefully aim to get a few goals on the way!”
“I can't wait to get started, everybody has said Hythe is a top club, fingers crossed I can help us move up the table.”
