Hythe Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing of former Whitstable Town captain, James Morrish, and from Erith & Belvedere, attacker Louis Sprosen.

James moved to Whitstable Town at the start of last season from Ryman Premier team AFC Hornchurch.

Prior to joining Hornchurch he spent several years at the Chelsea Academy, and also had a spell at Bethnal Green United before being spotted by Hornchurch.

James made an impressive debut at Reachfields, in our 3-0 Ryman South win over Burgess Hill Town.

His all-action style made him an instant fit within Scott Porter's side, whilst the midfielder kept his new supporters entertained with some impressive twists, turns, and lay-offs.

Highly-rated attacker, Louis Sprosen, also made his debut today as a second-half substitute, replacing Josh Burchell, during the same 3-0 win.

Louis joins us from our former Kent League rivals, and now Ryman North side, Erith & Belvedere. In the short and long-term, these are two key additions to an injury and suspension ravaged squad.

Scott has also confirmed to the website that Darren Winfield and Craig Cloke do not feature in his plans for the remainder of the season, after both players chose to take a break from the game.
