Ryman League Division One South 2013/14 - Line-Up Announced

Following a meeting of the FA Leagues Committee, club allocations for Steps One to Four have been released, the size of our division has been extended by two to twenty-four ahead of next season.

Scott Captures Sam Bewick Signature

Hythe Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing of twenty-year old box-to-box midfielder, Sam Bewick. Sam joins the club from Herne Bay where he made eleven appearances last season, scoring two goals, and has also had spells at QPR and Tonbridge Angels as a teenager.

Hythe Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing of twenty-year old defender, Ryan Cooper. Ryan joins the club after leaving Sittingbourne following a successful season as part of an organised and disciplined side managed by the Ward brothers.

Welford Becomes First Summer Signing

Hythe Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Shaun Welford. Shaun joins the club after leaving Maidstone United, having captained the club to promotion via the Ryman South Play-Offs.


Our new signing scored 13 goals last season, despite being part of a rotated four man strike-force. During the 2011/12 season, he was the Stones’ leading goalscorer with 32 goals from 43 games. Thank You Brendon

It is with regret that we bid a fond farewell to Brendon Cass, Brendon will go down in Hythe Town history as the man who finally fired us to Kent League Championship glory. Having signed at the start of the 2010/11 season, he went on to score 37 goals in 47 appearances that season, including being the player whose shot deflected off Tunbridge Wells keeper Michael Czanner to land us the Kent League title in the 89th minute of the final league game of that season.


Brendon had already scored two vital hat-tricks in the final five games of the championship run-in. One of which was completed in the 94th minute of a home game with Holmesdale that ended 3-2 after we had trailed 2-1 with twenty minutes of the game remaining. On Saturday night Hythe Town FC held their annual End of Season Presentation Evening. It marked the end of another fantastic season for the club, with further steps forward, including a best ever final league position of 4th in only our second ever season in the Ryman South, which of course took us into the play-offs, again for the first ever time in our history!
