Rhys Lawson (3rd from left) Celebrates His Stunning Debut Goal For Hythe Town

Hythe Town FC can confirm that Rhys Lawson has left the club to join Southern Counties East side, Lordswood.

The winger, 25, unfortunately has to drop down a level in the football pyramid due to work commitments, and will join up with his former Herne Bay manager, Simon Halsey.

Rhys originally signed from local rivals Faversham Town shortly after the start of the season, and had joined the Lilywhites from Herne Bay during the summer, after starting the season scoring two goals in the first four Ryman South fixtures.

In one of the shorter Hythe Town playing careers (ten appearances), Rhys will definitely be remembered fondly for his work-rate, ability to play in several positions, but mainly for his fantastic half-volley that found the top-corner from twenty-yards on his debut.

Rhys has said that he loved his time at Reachfields Stadium, we wish him well with his new club and thank him for his efforts in a Hythe shirt.
