Scott Captures Sam Bewick Signature
Hythe Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing of twenty-year old box-to-box midfielder, Sam Bewick.
Sam joins the club from Herne Bay where he made eleven appearances last season, scoring two goals, and has also had spells at QPR and Tonbridge Angels as a teenager.
Sam originally moved to Winch's Field for more regular football, leaving behind the ultra-competitive squad of play-off winners Maidstone United. However, the Stones lost one of their most highly-rated youngsters, as the year before Sam was their Supporters’ Player of the Year runner up after 50 appearances during the 2011-12 season.
Sam's short Herne Bay career also included three Man of the Match awards, even more encouraging is that the Herne Bay website shows Sam as enjoying the best points per game ratio for any of their outfield players last season!
Talking to the website today, Scott said - “Sam is another player that has that combination of youth, but also with plenty of experience for his age. Again, a lot of sides were in for a player that has decided to join us at Reachfields.”
Scott continued - “Sam is the third of four signings I wanted to make this Summer, I hope to announce the fourth and final signing as soon as possible. It's an exciting time for the club at the moment with plenty happening on and off the pitch.”
Welcome to the club Sam!
