Sprosen Returns - Good Luck Lee
Tim brings us an update on some recent changes to the squad...
“Last week, and in light of recent injuries, we managed to add to the squad with the addition of a familiar face in Louis Sprosen. Unfortunately, Sproz is carrying a slight achilles injury at the moment but hopes to be included in next week’s squad.”
For those who are not familiar with Louis, he joined us at the same time as James Morrish last season, going on to appear twenty-four times and scoring six goals.
After coming into the side at full-back, he quickly began to show his versatility and played in both midfield and attack, where he ended last season before a summer move to Cray Wanderers.
The twenty-three year-old’s former clubs also include Erith & Belvedere, Beckenham Town, AFC Wimbledon and Bromley.
Tim continues - “Leaving the club is central defender Lee Pleau, who has joined Ashford United. Lee showed a great attitude whilst with the Cannons and we wish him all the very best with Ashford. The move enables him to gain more experience in senior football, to become an even better defender. Good luck Lee and thanks for your time with us.”
Since joining us towards the end of last season (on loan from Maidstone United’s Academy), Lee has gone on to become a real supporter’s favourite. His family were also great supporters of the club during his time at Reachfields.
It is safe to say Lee will remain in close contact with the Cannons as he joins many other former Hythe men at Ashford United, in fact he was in attendance for our Kent Senior Cup game at Maidstone!
Welcome back to Reachfields to Louis and good luck to Lee at Ashford, hopefully we will see him back in a Hythe shirt in the not too distant future.
