Hythe Town under 18s first game of the season in the Kent League didn't get off to the best off starts with a 6 - 2 defeat at home to Chatham Town. The score line doesn't reflect Hythe's performance though as they played some good football and had most of the possession in the first half. Chatham’s first two goals came from a couple of unfortunate individual errors. Hythe got one back with a good goal from George Budd. A well worked goal by the visitors saw them go 3-1 up at half time. Part way through the second half Hythe lost their way slightly resulting in Chatham scoring two quick goals in succession. The hosts settled down and had a few good shots but just couldn't find the net. The Chats got their sixth and shortly afterwards Liam Middleton rounded the keeper and slotted home Hythe’s second. The Cannons were finishing strong but just ran out of time.
